Quote 1 • to be successful, you must decide exactly what you want to accomplish, then resolve to pay the price to get it. ~ Bunker Hunt ~ I thought this quote was true, and I think it meant that It make take money to get where you want to go to in life, like college. You have to choose the career that is best for you and work with it.

Quote 2• Success is the sum of small efforts, repeated day in and day out...~ Robert Collier~ I think this quote is true and you have to try your hardest in order to get that job you want. This quote relates to Career Exploration because in that, you need to find the job best for you.

Quote 3 • Instead of thinking about where you are, think about where you want to be. It takes twenty years of hard work to become an overnight success. ~ Diana Rankin~ I think this quote is true, and it relates to Career Exploration in the fact that you cant get where you want to go to right away, and it will take time to get there.

- In order to be successful, you have to work hard every day and achieve your goals. Working hard every day for school and studying at home is the only way to get good grades, graduate, and go to colleges of your choice. Working hard in school is the beginning to getting a job that you want.

- Being successful means putting in effort to get a great result. If you are not doing something that you like and are interesting in then you are not going to care as much about it and put little effort into it. When someone has a job that they really hate doing, they are going to do sloppy work and not be successful with it. When someone has a job that they love they tend to be more enthusiastic about it and put every effort into it, also becoming successful with it.

- This quote is very important on becoming successful. Someone could be the smartest person in school, but not be successful if they don’t have a positive attitude towards their work and other, or if they don’t care about their work. When getting a job, interviewers don’t always look for the smartest candidate, but the one with the most positive character to fit the job. To be a sales representative, someone has to be caring towards others and a happy person with positive attitudes. They don’t necessarily need to know be the smartest because in sales, appearance and presentation is more important in order to sell.

I agree with this quote. This quote shows how you have to be able to see where you want to go in life. You should not worry about things that affect you today but things that will years from now. I think that this quote is an important quote. The quote means that you have to first be unsuccessful but work through it in order to become a success person. This quote relates to Career Explorations. I think that a lot of students try to think of a job that gets good pay with little work. This quote tries to explain that you have to work hard to become a success and even if you fail at first, work through the hard times. This is a lesson that is important for students choosing careers. Students oftentimes want a job that you immediately are making lots of money and that is not what will usually happen.

This quote is another quote that is teaching the reader a good life lesson. The quote says that you have to know what you want to do and then go after that dream with 100% effort. I think this quote relates to this class because it talks about finding out what you want to accomplish. Every day in this class we are trying to find out what we want to do when we get older and that is what this quote is talking about.

I think that I need to follow this quote more because sometimes I want to give up on things. For example, I run and I want to be good but some days I want to skip practice and go home. This quote relates to careers because in this class we talk about the steps to success and what you need to do to achieve your goals. This quote is saying you have to follow those steps every day and never give up.

I think this is very accurate because ever since this I was little my parents have taught me that it doesn’t matter as much about your intelligence or abilities, but the way you treat other people and the way you treat yourself. This
This relates to Career Exploration because we take tests and surveys not only on your intelligence, but on your character and how you learn based on your character.

This relates to Career Exploration because the class teaches you to set goals for yourself so you know what you want to do in life. It also teaches to know the steps to take in order to reach your goal, or the prices you will have to pay to reach your goal. Knowing these two things will help you reach success.

This relates to Career Exploration because you get the chance to think about and research the career that you want to do later in life. I agree with this quote because I feel that every person that was once successful had to get there and they had to start out unsuccessful. I feel that it is rare for a person to become successful without ever being unsuccessful. Everyone has to start somewhere and usually when you start out you are unsuccessful.

I agree with this because in order to become successful you have to be a good person and do good things. Someone can have no character but be the smartest person, and become rich, but it won’t matter because they will have no friends, no family, and no social life. My Reaction- I agree with the quote because a lot of successful people didn’t have successful years in the beginning such as bill gates, Steve jobs and many others.

You can be very intelligent and have many degrees but that doesn’t mean you have the guts for what it takes to be very successful.

This goes hand in hand with the real world because when one is in sports or in something that is competitive. People tend to get caught up in what their opponent is going to do rather then what they themselves are going to do this is how dreams, jobs and games are lost.

My Reaction- I agree with the quote. I feel that to have success you have to have to have failures. Bill Gates dropped out of Harvard and had a failing first business. When I try to get good at something it takes a couple of tries
to do so.

My Reaction- I agree with this quote. I think that if you do what you want then you are successful. Doing what you want to do makes you happy which is something that is very successful.

o I agree with this quote. If you do something that you don’t like or that you are not good at you will not be satisfied. In life if you do what you do best you will succeed and probably have a better life. If you just go with what everyone else is doing you may not succeed as much and you will waste your talent. This is true with jobs and careers as wel as with sports.

In life, all people need to strive to live honorably, and with integrity. Moral fiber rules over any superior ability or skill, and will benefit any individual in the long run as opposed to short term gain. Many capable people will stab others in the back to make short term gains that will benefit themselves . This quote accentuates the importance of not becoming one of these people.

Success is something that simply will never take place over night. It begins from a mulititude of challenges, often beginning in high school. Individuals who strive to be successful must take it day by day, and asess what needs to be completed to take them to the next level. The level of success a person may reach in life truly depends on the levels of effort they put into life itself.

The most common product of failure is eventual successful. Without failure in life, literally nothing can actually be accomplished. My reaction: This relates to career exploration because when you’re looking for a job you want to make sure you present yourself well to the boss and the people you work with. You can be really smart but if you act like a jerk and think you know everything you won’t have a job for too long.

My reaction: When you first get a job you can’t expect to be perfect at it. You will have to go through a lot go trial and error. Hopefully you learn quickly because your boss won’t want you than. Success comes through the years of hard work.

I think this quote relates to career explorations because when an individual is interested in a specific area he or is going to love what they become.

Success is something that has created the world as we know it. Success is what continually improves our everyday lives, and what drives us all. M.H. Alderson said ”It's simply a matter of doing what you do best and not worrying about what the other fellow is going to do.” The only way to succeed is by knowing your strengths and emphasizing them in life, you have to stay focused on the end result and focused on how you can succeed, worrying about what and how other people will succeed will not help you get to where you want to go. Gilberte Beaux said, “Character is more important than intelligence for success.” Beaux is saying that even if someone is extremely intelligent and knows how to succeed it won’t matter. A person’s character will determine if they succeed, someone with poor character and all the intelligence in the world won’t, but someone with good character may just make it. Lastly, Bob Brown mentioned this about success “Behind every successful man there's a lot of unsuccessful years.” Meaning, that the only way to success is knowing that failure will get you there.

This quote is important in getting a career because in an interview, people look for not only how intelligent you are, but they also look at your character and your personality. The way one acts determines their success in life. Even though a person might be very intelligent, they might not have the best personality and have a character that wouldn’t please other people. One’s character also has to fit the job they are doing. For example, if you are very mathematical and you are very good at solving problems, you shouldn’t become an English teacher. Also, the way one feels towards their job also is important to success. If you don’t like your job very much then you might not be as successful if you did like or enjoy your job.

This quote shows that to be successful, you must have at least some experience. This is because if you don’t know or haven’t experienced failing, then you might not know how to be successful or how to improve in what you do. If you do not know how to improve because of lack of experience of failing in the past, then you can’t possibly be successful, or achieve anything you want in the future for things such as jobs.

This quote basically says that if you don’t know what you want to do or be successful in, you can’t possibly achieve it. You would be going back and forth between jobs and classes and you wouldn’t achieve anything because you would be to busy trying to figure out what you want to do. You wouldn’t be successful because you wouldn’t have anything to be successful at. You would be too busy trying to choose what you want to do and what you want to achieve in life.
